» Info: The SK Gaming Ladies movie is a project that I have spent far too much time on over the past few months and it's my failure to complete it in a more timely fashion regardless if no deadline was set. It was unfortunately put in the backburner a few times as there have been more time sensitive driven projects that have gotten in the way. As it stands Christine Chi, current PMS member, was the only member I have spoken with regarding the project. I don't believe Alice Lew or any other member, including one who I shared a relationship with, has ever spoken to me personally, not once, but it's understood why Ms. Lew chose to release her statement publicly - I would do the same in a heartbeat.
The current project has a running time of almost 20 minutes (my longest frag movie ever, this beats Team 3D WCG 2004 - gauge of quality is obviously subjective), 600 scenes totaling 250 GB of footage and assorted media collected over the past year, countless presentation changes, scrapped concept ideas, all covering ESWC 2007 and ESWC 2008 tournaments with a flashback of ESWC 2005. I've tried to add something more at every opportunity while ultimately trying to tell a narrative through a frag movie weighing in at 725 MB. It was my intent to inform SK management or any member of SK Gaming Ladies regarding the finished product by March 2009 long before ESWC 2009 (June 26 - 2 and a sincere apology for the delay. Thus this is a movie that meant a lot to me for a team I've been following for a long time, something I've been working diligently on for the past few months to hopefully make it a pleasant and long overdue surprise for some people at the end of the day. At certain points, however, it was extremely awkward to sit down and finish this movie that featured someone from a former relationship which added on to the delay but that's my fault and my fault alone. Regardless I was not mindful enough to work faster which leads us today:
While it was disheartening to read such a statement given the situation from someone who represents female professional gaming in North America and someone I'll always respect, I can't say I blame her and she had every reason to do so with merit. To Ms. Lew I apologize for not being more punctual with this ambitious project in scope and size, having this movie that I consider a passion project under siege was never on my agenda.
